Probably the best birria I've had outside of Mexico. Service is good and attentive. I think the best bang for your buck is the birria ramen. Yes, it's just instant ramen but you get plenty of consommé and chunks of beef for $12.99! Tacos and mulitas are excellent...I mean, it's the same meat but add in some cheese and voila. Meat is super tender with plenty of flavor. Not too spicy but they give you different salsas and red chili oil. It's interesting because El Monte is majority Latino but there's a sizable population of Asians so you'll see that the customers here are pretty diverse. It really does remind you of beef noodle soup or braised beef (for Chinese/ Vietnamese). I think it's great that the the beef, cilantro, and onion combination is shared. If you're not Mexican but see this, go on in and try it! Parking can be challenging during rush hour but you can usually find it on the street. They have a parking lot but not sure why there's always a group of people just hanging out back there. Never had any problems though.

Updating this review to 4 stars because the owner took initiative to reach out. And Gabriel reacted so professionally. #1 - They acknowledged the issue and apologized. They shared that this was not normal to run out and implies/supports that they make their foods fresh daily. #2 - They acknowledge that a customer's time is valuable and try to make it up with an offer. Thank you, but we are more than happy to pay for our food. Owner suggestions - Post a sign on the door if you run out again. At least your customers, especially new customers, will not be confused when they show up. Unfortunately this happens to us more often than it should, as we frequent and support new local businesses and restaurants often. Post on your website https://birrieriaelrinconsitonavarroca.com/ next to your operating hours open until XX or when you sell out. Post on Yelp's "About the business" section, open until we sell out. Just to give your customers, especially new customers a heads up. It is my intention not to hurt businesses but to give an honest review. We will come visit and try your food (more than happy to pay) the next time we are in LA and hope to update this review to 5 stars. Original review: Yelp will probably take this review down because I was unable to taste any of the food. But here was my experience: Quality/Quantity - N/A. Atmosphere - Make sure you park on the correct side! The other side belongs to the grocery store and they tow, see pictures. Open 7 days a week, see picture. Today, on a Saturday, their posted hours said they are open until 8pm (and Yelp has it at 10pm) but when we went out of our way to come here, they were closed at 6:15pm. No sign or note anywhere? Service - N/A. Price - N/A. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success with your two locations.

Small mom and pop restaurant that specializes in birria if you didn't guess from the name, haha. The space is welcoming and clean. Came in on a weeknight not too long before closing so place was not busy at all and I was able to get seated and order right away. The person there was super friendly and helpful. After getting an explanation of the most popular items, my choice was pretty clear. I got 'El Sampler' so I got to try everything! El Sampler = 1 mulita, 1 Quesa Birria Taco, 1 Taco Dorado, 1 Street Taco, and a Consome. It's a lot of food! (had to take a lot of it to go). Everything was so flavorful and comforting. The produce / fixins here was nice and fresh. There are some additional salsas to enjoy with your meal and I got a Coke to wash it all down. Just a really wonderful place. I love places like this and love to support them. I had a really great experience, but not sure if that's just how it is or if it is because the place wasn't busy at all at the moment. Totally recommend, especially if you are looking for great birria for a reasonable price. Definitely felt like I got a lot of bang for my buck here. Place got on my radar when I first had food next door. It looked intriguing from the outside. Not long after, I actually saw super high scores and this actually being on Yelp's SGV best list. So that gave me the extra shove to come in and try this place. Because I did come around on the later side during the week, street parking was super easy to find.

4.5/5 stars. Stopped by to grab a light lunch/snack for takeout. Ordered 2 quesabirria and small consomme. Quesabirria had perfect amount cheese. The meat was super flavorful and juicy. I just wished the taco was more crispy. Definitely hits the spot for birria craving! Super friendly staff. Food was ready pretty quickly. Parked right outside. Clean interior. Recommend trying!! Would come back to try other items in the future. Wish I ordered more birria!
